Kizkalesi

Kizkalesi got its recent name about 85 years ago. The area, having been abandoned for a while, got new inhabitants  and they named the village after the legend belonging to the sea castle: Kizkalesi (Maiden's Castle)

Adamkayalar

Adamkayalar is the Turkish name for the human rock-cut reliefs. They have a Roman character and date from the 1st or 2nd century AD. The area is in fact a cemetery with the reliefs depicting the people buried there. The reliefs are only 8 km. away from Kizkalesi. After descending an ancient staircase (at certain points its quiet a climb though) into the Seytan Deresi (Devil's Glen), you will find the reliefs on the rocky surface.

Uzuncaburc

Uzuncaburç is the name of the Turkish village situated among the remains of the ancient roman city of Diocaesarea. Diocaesaria used to be the cult centre of the residential settlement of Olba (4 km to the east). The ancient name can be found on an inscription in the city gate.
