Driving towards the east, immediately leaving Kizkalesi, you arrive in the neighbour village of Ayas, or known in old times as Elaiussa- Sebaste. Here you find the remains of an old city. Among them are the remains of aqueducts, temples, tombs and a theater. In recent years archeologists have been active with excavating.

Then we drive on to Kanli Divane or with its ancient name, Canytelis. A huge sight with Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine remains.The site is impressive. In the middle there is a huge crater in the ground, with on the edges the ruins of basilicas. Year around, but especially in spring with flowers blooming, it is very lovely to visit. The site is away from the main traffic line and there for very peaceful.
